So I’ve been diagnosing rough idle and P0300 with no specific cylinder to pin down, C/S they did their own timing belt, found P/S cam was one tooth off, and D/S cam was 2 teeth off, and then to top it all off, the crank timing gear could rotate on the crank about 1/4 in because the balancer bolt was loose which caused the keyway to start shearing off...

We’re in Ohio, so that should explain most of it. It’s just a farm truck that sits and collects dust until the owner needs it for whatever. The body was in really rough shape, I’m not sure how it got as bad as it did, but here we are.
Wheel bearing had completely failed and chewed everything up. Forgot to take a pic but it was definitely “ka-chowed”.

In every one of your lovely JRITS
posts, I see something and I think - OMG how the hell does this happen, I have to comment on this.
... But by the time I get to the comments section, I already went on a journey to hell and back and completely forgot which one I wanted to comment on, because all of them are incredible.
Even for someone mechanically inept and un-knowledgeable like me. I know nothing about how a car works and even I can tell that these images are insane.
Thanks for sharing these...

All I can add is that these posts are even better, still horrible, but better when you do know a little about what we’re looking at. I also don’t reddit. Thanks Urambo, this is great.

That welding accident needed a yard security camera feed. My guess is the guy was thrown clear 100' or more.

Regarding the ambulance tires. There is a very large private ambulance company with its headquarters near my work. I regularly see their trucks at my favorite gas stations. And I regularly see some really past due tires on them. I've never seen them that bad, but I've definitely noticed a pattern.
